John Casement was born on 29 November 1825.3 He was the son of Roger Casement and Margaret McQuilty.2 He married, firstly, Charlotte Newcomen, daughter of Brabazon Newcomen and Anne Abbott, on 6 August 1849.3 He married, secondly, Charlotte Miller, daughter of Alexander Miller, on 15 September 1859.4 He died on 13 October 1902 at age 76.4

Rear-Admiral John Casement was born on 22 July 1854.3 He is the son of John Casement and Charlotte Newcomen.2 He married Maria Young, daughter of Rt. Hon. John Young and Grace Charlotte Savage, on 23 December 1892.3 He died on 8 June 1910 at age 55,.3
In 1882 he served in HMSS Hope and Eira in an Arctic Expedition.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Antrim.1 He was Superintendant of the Sheerness Dockyard between 1907 and 1908.3 He lived at Magherintemple, Ballycastle, County Antrim, Ireland.1 He retired from the military in 1909, with the rank of Rear-Admiral.3
