     He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps (MT).1 He fought in the First World War.1 He lived at Upperlands, County Derry, Ireland.2 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major.1 He was a director of William Clark & Sons Ltd.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Derry in 1951.1 He lived at Upperlands House, Upperlands, County Derry, IrelandG.1

     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1
