Sir Thomas Henry Cleeve was born on 5 June 1844.1 He was the son of Edward Elms Cleeve and Sophia Oliva Journeaux.2 He married Phoebe Agnes Dann, daughter of Jonathan Dann, on 14 February 1874.1 He died on 19 December 1908 at age 64.1
In 1860 he came to Ireland from Canada.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Limerick in 1892.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Limerick in 1900.1 He was invested as a Knight Bachelor in 1900.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Limerick in 1905.1 He lived at Sunville House, Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland.1
