     Charles Dewey was born on 9 September 1813.1 He was the son of Lewis Dewey and Martha (?).2 He married Caroline Ballard, daughter of Thomas Ballard and Mary Anne Fiske, in June 1837.1 He died on 19 January 1892 at age 78.1
     He also had two daughters.1 He lived at Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England.1
