     Jean Peter du Cros was born on 14 July 1680.1 He was baptised on 15 July 1680 at Reformed Church, Montpellier, France.1 He was the son of François du Cros, Seigneur de la Combe and Suzanne Donnadieu.2 He married Marie Sophie Gould.1 He died before 11 May 1724.1
     Jean Peter du Cros gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Colonel La Barthe's Regiment of Foot.1 Before 10 May 1716 He left France in wake of Revocation of Edict of Nantes (which had established toleration for Huguenots).1 He had three elder sons.1
