     Lord Ernest McDonnell Vane-Tempest was born on 29 February 1836.2 He was the son of Charles William Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry and Lady Frances Anne Emily Vane-Tempest.1 He married Mary Townshend Hutchinson, daughter of Thomas Hutchinson, on 12 January 1869.1 He died on 14 August 1885 at age 49.2
     He was given the name of Ernest McDonnell Vane at birth.1 On 28 June 1851 his name was legally changed to Ernest McDonnell Vane-Tempest by Royal Licence.1

     Mary Townshend Hutchinson is the daughter of Thomas Hutchinson.1 She married Lord Ernest McDonnell Vane-Tempest, son of Charles William Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry and Lady Frances Anne Emily Vane-Tempest, on 12 January 1869.1
      From 12 January 1869, her married name became Vane-Tempest.2

     Florence Mark Kirk is the daughter of William Kirk.2 She married, firstly, Charles Henry Vane-Tempest, son of Lord Ernest McDonnell Vane-Tempest and Mary Townshend Hutchinson, on 13 April 1893.2 She married, secondly, Nigel Sydney Augustine Harrison on 3 June 1903.2
      From 13 April 1893, her married name became Vane-Tempest.1 From 3 June 1903, her married name became Harrison.2

     Ernest Charles William Vane-Tempest was born on 24 July 1894.1 He was the son of Charles Henry Vane-Tempest and Florence Mark Kirk.1 He married, firstly, Aline Mary Loftus St. George, daughter of Loftus St. George and Marguerite Isabel Clifford Borrer, on 19 December 1918.2 He and Aline Mary Loftus St. George were divorced in 1933.2 He married, firstly, Anne Elizabeth Humphreys, daughter of Captain Evan Humphreys, on 23 December 1933.2 He died on 24 August 1957 at age 63.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserves.2 He was decorated with the award of the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).2

     Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest was born on 5 May 1896.1 He was the son of Charles Henry Vane-Tempest and Florence Mark Kirk.1 He died on 25 March 1917 at age 20, from wounds received in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 5th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Flying Corps.2
