     Ambrose Congreve was born on 16 January 1832.1 He is the son of John Congreve and Hon. Louisa Harriet Dillon.2 He married Hon. Alice Elizabeth Dilloln, daughter of Baron 3rd Clonbrock, on 26 July 1866.1
     Ambrose Congreve was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 Sometime Lieut2nd Life Guards.1 He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He lived Mount Congreve.1 County Waterford.1 In 1871 High Sheriff.1

     Hon. Alice Elizabeth Dilloln was the daughter of Baron 3rd Clonbrock.2 She married Ambrose Congreve, son of John Congreve and Hon. Louisa Harriet Dillon, on 26 July 1866.1 She died on 15 March 1901, issue.1 She died on 18 December 1878.1
     Her married name became Congreve.
