     Major George Gough was born on 26 December 1775 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. George Gough and Letitia Bunbury.3 He married Sarah Croker, daughter of Edward Croker and Margaret Anne Hare, in 1811.1 He died on 13 June 1846 at age 70.1
