Edmond fitz David mcRuddery was the son of David fitz Thomas.2 He married Helen Purcell, daughter of Pierce Purcell.1 He died on 22 November 1588.1 He was also reported to have died on 20 December 1589.3
In 1570 he was in possession of Castle of Glin.1 As of before 1586, Edmond fitz David mcRuddery also went by the nick-name of 'Knight of the Valley'.3 He lived at Ballygleaghan, County Limerick, Ireland, (now Holly Park).1

He graduated in 1935 with a Eton, Sorbonne (Paris) and Magdalene College Cambridge Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) , Master of Arts (M.A.) 1939).1 He was Cultural Rels Advsy Ctee (Ireland) –, memb Royal Irish Academy 1952, chairman Bovril (Ireland) and Lombard Bank (Ireland), dir Irish Shell and BP and Four Provinces Films, memb Institute Tport, Management Ctee RNLI (Exec Ctee 1970–84), Tstee Irish in 1950.1 He was president of the International Olympic Committee during the Moscow Games.
