     Lt.-Col. Richard Charles Dundas was born on 16 October 1868.1 He was the son of Frederick Henry Fergusson Dundas and Ursula Mellish.2 He married Betty Ramsay, daughter of Alexander Ramsay, on 5 July 1904.1 He died on 25 September 1915 at age 46, killed in action.1
     Lt.-Col. Richard Charles Dundas fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Scots.1 He fought in the Battle of Loos in September 1915.1

     Betty Ramsay was the daughter of Alexander Ramsay.2 She married, firstly, George Bruce before 1904.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Richard Charles Dundas, son of Frederick Henry Fergusson Dundas and Ursula Mellish, on 5 July 1904.1 She died on 28 January 1922.1
     From before 1904, her married name became Bruce.1 From 5 July 1904, her married name became Dundas.
