     Mary Joan Whistler is the daughter of Major Robert John Fuller Whistler.2 She married Brian Henry Mulholland, 6th Baron Dunleath of Ballywalter, son of Michael Henry Mulholland, 5th Baron Dunleath of Ballywalter and Elizabeth M. Hyde, in 1976.1
     From 1976, her married name became Mulholland. As a result of her marriage, Mary Joan Whistler was styled as Baroness Dunleath of Ballywalter on 3 May 1997.

     Andrew Mulholland was born on 15 March 1792.1 He is the son of Thomas Mulholland and Ann Doe.2 He married Elizabeth McDonnell, daughter of Thomas McDonnell, on 13 February 1818.1 He died on 24 August 1866 at age 74.1
     Andrew Mulholland held the office of Mayor of Belfast in 1845.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Springvale later Ballywalter Park.1
