     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.)1 He was given the name of Geoffrey Hoffmann at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Geoffrey Eden by Royal Licence.1
