     Captain Gilbert Cecil Pelly was born on 26 July 1892.1 He was the son of Herbert Cecil Pelly and Mary Richenda Carter.2 He married Constance Margery Glazebrook, daughter of Frederic Edward de Tweenbrook Glazebrook, on 15 January 1921.1 He died on 23 February 1961 at age 68.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     From 15 January 1921, her married name became Pelly.

     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He was a Younger Brother of Trinity House in 1951.1 He lived in 2003 at Westerly, 5 The Marches, Fernhurst, Haslemere, Surrey, EnglandG.1
