     Major Alan Wroughton Wentworth Stanley was born on 3 January 1891.1 He was the son of Major Alan Sidney Wentworth Stanley and Lillian Charlotte Anderson.1 He married Yvonne Ann Tomes, daughter of T. Phillips Tomes, in 1922.1 He died on 4 August 1954 at age 63, without issue.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Horse Guards.1 He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).1

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 9th Lancers.1 He fought in the Boer War.1
