     Alistair Charles William Forsyth, Chief of Forsyth was born on 7 December 1929.1 He is the son of Charles Forsyth and Ella Millicent Hopkins.2 He married Ann Hughes, daughter of Colonel Percy Arthur Hughes, in 1958.1
     He was educated at St. Paul's School, London, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Queen Mary and Westfield Colleges, London University, London, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1950 in the The Queens Bays (2nd Dragoon Guards.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1950 and 1954 in the Parachute Regiment ,11th Battalion, Territorial Army.1 He was a commodity broker and company director between 1950 and 1999.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) [New South Wales] in 1965.1 He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Petroleum (F.Inst.Pet.) in 1973.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Company and Commerical Accountants (F.S.C.A.) in 1976.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) (Scotland.)1 He held the position of Chief of the Name and Arms of Forsyth from in 1978.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 30 November 1978.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1982.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Angus in 1988.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Holy Sepulchre (K.H.S.) in 1992.1 He lived in 2003 at Annfield Park, Boyup Brook, Western Australia, AustraliaG.1

     She was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 From 1958, her married name became Forsyth.
