     Sir Philip Monckton was the son of Sir Francis Monckton and Margaret Saville.2 He married Anne Eyre, daughter of Robert Eyre, in 1658.1 He died in February 1678.1
     He lived at Hodroyd, Yorkshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Scarborough.1 He lived at Cavil, Yorkshire, England.1 A Royalist during the Civil War.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1669.1
