     Major Hon. Conway Stratford George Canning was born on 15 December 1854.1 He was the son of Charles Henry Spencer George Canning, 2nd Baron Garvagh and Cecilia Susannah Ruggles-Brise.2 He died on 19 February 1926 at age 71.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps.1

     Florence Alice de Bretton was the daughter of Baron Joseph de Bretton.2 She married Charles John Spencer George Canning, 3rd Baron Garvagh, son of Charles Henry Spencer George Canning, 2nd Baron Garvagh and Cecilia Susannah Ruggles-Brise, on 9 August 1877.1 She died on 17 May 1926.1
     After her marriage, Florence Alice de Bretton was styled as Baroness Garvagh on 9 August 1877. From 9 August 1877, her married name became Canning. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1918.1

     Leopold Ernest Stratford George Canning, 4th Baron Garvagh was born on 21 July 1878.1 He was the son of Charles John Spencer George Canning, 3rd Baron Garvagh and Florence Alice de Bretton.2 He married, firstly, Caroline Grace Elizabeth Rube, daughter of Charles Ernest Rube, on 19 July 1904.1 He married, secondly, Dora Parker, daughter of Bayley Parker, on 1 January 1919.1 He died on 16 July 1956 at age 77.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry.1 His marriage to Caroline Grace Elizabeth Rube was annulled in 1909.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Garvagh, of Garvagh, co. Londonderry [I., 1818] on 7 February 1915.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Londonderry.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Londonderry.1

     Caroline Grace Elizabeth Rube is the daughter of Charles Ernest Rube.2 She married Leopold Ernest Stratford George Canning, 4th Baron Garvagh, son of Charles John Spencer George Canning, 3rd Baron Garvagh and Florence Alice de Bretton, on 19 July 1904.1
     From 19 July 1904, her married name became Canning. Her marriage to Leopold Ernest Stratford George Canning, 4th Baron Garvagh was annulled in 1909.1

     Alexander Leopold Ivor George Canning, 5th Baron Garvagh was born on 6 October 1920.2 He was the son of Leopold Ernest Stratford George Canning, 4th Baron Garvagh and Dora Parker.2 He married, firstly, Edith Christine Cooper, daughter of Jack H. Cooper, on 12 July 1947.2 He and Edith Christine Cooper were divorced in 1974.2 He married, secondly, Cynthia Valerie Mary Pretty, daughter of Eric Ernest Falk Pretty, on 10 June 1974.2 He died on 31 October 2013 at age 93 at Kent, England.3
     Alexander Leopold Ivor George Canning, 5th Baron Garvagh usually went by his middle name of George. He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War, in Burma, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Guides Cavalry.2 He was chairman and managing director of Lord Garvagh and Associates Ltd, consultants at London, EnglandG.2 He was chairman and managing director of Indian Chartering Ltd, Camco Machinery Ltd, Intersal Commodities Ltd and Anglo-Brazilian Investemnts Ltd.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Garvagh, of Garvagh, co.      Hon. Victor Stratford de Redcliffe Canning was born on 7 February 1924.1 He was the son of Leopold Ernest Stratford George Canning, 4th Baron Garvagh and Dora Parker.2 He died on 7 May 1944 at age 20 at ItalyG, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1

Dora Valerie Patricia Canning was born on 31 October 1919.1 She was the daughter of Leopold Ernest Stratford George Canning, 4th Baron Garvagh and Dora Parker.2 She married, firstly, Lieutenant Philip Anthony Wellesley-Colley, son of Major William Wellesley-Colley, on 13 January 1942.1 She married, secondly, Peter Stocks Sutcliffe, son of Ernest Sutcliffe, on 28 August 1950.1 She died on 17 May 2002 at age 82.1
     Hon. Dora Valerie Patricia Canning usually went by her middle name of Valerie.2 From 13 January 1942, her married name became Wellesley-Colley. From 28 August 1950, her married name became Sutcliffe.1
