     Lt.-Cdr. John Edgar Burstall was the son of Captain John Burstall.2 He married Elisabeth Margaret Gibbons, daughter of Major Edward Stephen Gibbons and Annie Macgregor Lyle, on 19 March 1936.1 He died on 18 July 1979.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1
