He was the son of Hugo Vincenz Alexander Maria Fürst zu Windisch-Grätz and Leontine Prinzessin von Fürstenberg. He married Maria Luisa Serra di Carafa di Gerace on 11 November 1946 at Cortina d'Ampezzo, ItalyG. He died on 1 November 1976 at age 62 at Rome, ItalyG.
     He gained the title of Prinz zu Windisch-Grätz.

     Her married name became Smith-Ryland.2

Sir John Jacob Astor, son of Waldorf Astor, 2nd Viscount Astor and Nancy Witcher Langhorne, in 1976.1 She and Major Hon. Sir John Jacob Astor were divorced in 1985.1 She married Sir Charles Antony St. John Gray, son of Charles Gray and Catherine Hughes, in 1995.2 She died in 1997.1
     Her married name became Sheppard.1 From 1976, her married name became Astor.1 From 1995, her married name became Gray.2
