     Reverend John Jebb was born on 21 September 1805.1 He was the son of Richard Jebb and Louisa Finlay.2 He married Frances Bourke, daughter of General Sir Richard Bourke, in September 1831.1 He died in 1886.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).1 He held the office of Canon of Hereford.1 He was the Rector at Peterstow, Herefordshire, England.1 He wrote the book The Choral Service and A New Translation of the Psalms.1
