     Sir Henry Daniel Gooch, 2nd Bt. was born on 30 December 1841.¹ He was the son of Sir Daniel Gooch, 1st Bt. and Margaret Tanner.² He married Mary Kelsall Croskey, daughter of Joseph Rodney Croskey, on 23 November 1865.¹ He died on 24 June 1897 at age 55.¹
     He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Gooch, of Clewer Park [U.K., 1866] on 15 October 1889.¹
