Sir Charles Christopher Grattan-Bellew, 4th Bt. was born on 23 August 1887.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Christopher Grattan-Bellew, 3rd Bt. and Lady Sophia Maria Elizabeth Forbes.2 He married Maureen Peyton Segrave, daughter of Sir Thomas George Segrave, on 21 April 1923.1 He died on 6 November 1948 at age 61.1
He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Bellew, of Mount Bellew, co. Galway [U.K., 1838] on 20 January 1942.1
