     Iain Alexander Gunn of Banniskirk was born on 25 March 1933.2 He is the son of John Bain Gunn and Annie Eleanor Smith.2 He married Aline Lavender James in 1963.2
     He was educated at George Watson's College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)2 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was solicitor, Shipping Federation between 1963 and 1976.2 He held the position of Commander of Clan Gunn from on 9 June 1972.2 He was deputy-director and director of the General Council of British Shipping between 1976 and 1991.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Caithness in 1998.2

     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.)1 He lived at Banniskirk, ScotlandG.1 He held the position of Commander of Clan Gunn from on 29 December 1967.1

     From 20 October 1927, her married name became Henckel von Donnersmarck.1
