     Mary Mackenzie Downie was the daughter of Alexander Francis Mackenzie Downie.2 She married Henry Vaughan Hawkins, son of Reverend Charles Halford Hawkins and Susan Haughton, on 17 May 1906.1 She died on 26 November 1946.1
     From 17 May 1906, her married name became Hawkins.

     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the East Surrey Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in 1940 in the Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1942.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Sussex Regiment.1

     Field Marshal Sir Nigel Thomas Bagnall was born on 10 February 1927.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Harry Stephen Bagnall and Marjory May Briggs.3,2 He married Anna Caroline Church, daughter of Lt.-Col. Theobald Frederick Stephen Church and Susette Henrietta Mary Hawkins, on 9 May 1959.1 He died on 8 April 2002 at age 75.2
     He gained the rank of in the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1950 and Bar (1953.)1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1978.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1980.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1985.1
