Rev. Sir John Cæsar Hawkins, 4th Bt. was born on 27 January 1837.1 He was the son of John Cæsar Hawkins and Louisa Georgiana Letitia Ricketts.2 He married Mary Catharine Withington, daughter of Thomas Ellames Withington, on 7 July 1863.1 He died on 18 January 1929 at age 91, without issue.1
He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Hawkins, of Kelston, Somerset [G.B., 1778] on 9 November 1861.1 He was the Rector at St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.1 He graduated from St. Andrew's University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).1 He was the Rector before 1880 at Chelmsford, Essex, England.1 He held the office of Hon. Canon of St. Albans.1
