     Alida Maria Porteous was born at India.2 She was the daughter of Surgn.-Gen. H. W. Porteous.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Woulfe Hay, son of Colonel Thomas Pasley Hay and Georgette Heine Arnaud, on 3 February 1863.1 She died on 21 November 1906.1
      From 3 February 1863, her married name became Hay.

     Lt.-Col. Henry Thomas Horatio Hay was born on 7 December 1863.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Woulfe Hay and Alida Maria Porteous.1 He married Mary Margaret Corser, daughter of Reverend George James Corser, on 8 April 1896.1 He died on 14 October 1934 at age 70.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.1

     Douglas Woulfe Hay was born on 31 January 1897.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Thomas Horatio Hay and Mary Margaret Corser.1 He died on 28 September 1918 at age 21, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Middlesex Regiment.1 He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).1 He fought in the First World War.1
