     Sir Richard Head, 1st Bt. was born circa 1609.1 He was the son of Richard Head and Anne Hartridge.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Willey.1 He married, thirdly, Anne Kingsley, daughter of Venerable William Kingsley.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Merrick, daughter of Francis Merrick, circa 1640.1 He died on 18 September 1689.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Rochester between 1667 and 1669.1 He was created 1st Baronet Head [England] on 19 June 1676.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Rochester between March 1679 and July 1679.1 In 1688 he was given an emerald ring by King James II for playing host to him in his flight from London (which was stolen from the 7th Bt).1

     Francis Head was born circa 1641.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Head, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Merrick.1 He married Sarah Ent, daughter of Sir George Ent, in 1667.1 He died on 16 October 1678.1
     He was a practising barrister.1
