Jane Elizabeth Henniker-Major, daughter of John Patrick Edward Chandos Henniker-Major, 8th Baron Henniker of Stratford-upon-Slaney and Margaret Osla Benning, in 1979.1 He and Hon. Jane Elizabeth Henniker-Major were divorced in 1993.1
     He was educated at Rondebosch, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa.2 He was educated at University of Cape Town, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.2 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bury St. Edmunds between 1992 and 1997.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Suffolk between 1997 and 2010.2 He was created Baron Risby, of Haverhill in the County of Suffolk [U.K. Life Peer] on 24 December 2010.2 He was Prime Ministerial Trade Envoy to Algeria.4
