     Sir George Cyril Rowley Hill, 8th Bt. was born on 18 December 1890.¹ He was the son of Sir George Rowley Hill, 7th Bt. and Alice Estelle Harley Bacon.² He married Edith Muriel Thomas, daughter of W. O. Thomas, on 15 July 1919.¹ He died, without issue.¹
      Sir George Cyril Rowley Hill, 8th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Cyril. He was educated at Wellington College, Wellington, Berkshire, England.¹ He was a journalist.¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Hill, of Brook Hall, co. Londonderry [I., 1779] on 30 June 1954.¹

     W. O. Thomas lived at Bryn Glas, Mold, Clywd, Wales.¹ He lived at Oakhurst, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.¹

     Edith Muriel Thomas is the daughter of W. O. Thomas.² She married Sir George Cyril Rowley Hill, 8th Bt., son of Sir George Rowley Hill, 7th Bt. and Alice Estelle Harley Bacon, on 15 July 1919.¹
      From 15 July 1919, her married name became Hill.

     Vice-Admiral Marcus Rowley Hill was born on 13 March 1867.¹ He was the son of Rt. Rev. Rowley Hill and Caroline Maud Chapman.² He married Ellen Mabel Mellor, daughter of Rt. Rev. John William Mellor, on 17 November 1908.¹ He died on 8 February 1925 at age 57.¹
     He was decorated with the award of the Officer, Legion of Honour.¹ He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     Rt. Rev. John William Mellor was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.).¹

     Ellen Mabel Mellor was the daughter of Rt. Rev. John William Mellor.² She married Vice-Admiral Marcus Rowley Hill, son of Rt. Rev. Rowley Hill and Caroline Maud Chapman, on 17 November 1908.¹ She died on 1 January 1942.¹
      From 17 November 1908, her married name became Hill.

     Alfred Rowley Hill was born on 24 December 1868.¹ He was the son of Rt. Rev. Rowley Hill and Caroline Maud Chapman.² He married Jean Cunninghame, daughter of J. Cunninghame, in 1893.¹ He died on 22 April 1946 at age 77.¹

     Jean Cunninghame was the daughter of J. Cunninghame.² She married Alfred Rowley Hill, son of Rt. Rev. Rowley Hill and Caroline Maud Chapman, in 1893.¹ She died on 14 November 1943.¹
      From 1893, her married name became Hill.

     Sir George Alfred Rowley Hill, 9th Bt. was born on 11 October 1899.¹ He was the son of Alfred Rowley Hill and Jean Cunninghame.² He married, firstly, Rose Ethel Kathleen Spratt, daughter of William Richard Spratt, on 20 December 1924.¹ He and Rose Ethel Kathleen Spratt were divorced in 1938.¹ He married, secondly, Jessie Anne Roberts in 1938.¹ He died in 1995.¹
     He was educated at Melville College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Indian Army.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Hill, of Brook Hall, co. Londonderry [I., 1779] after 1954.¹
