     Bernard Richard Meirion Darwin was born on 7 September 1876.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Darwin and Amy Richenda Ruck.1,2 He married Elinor Mary Monsell, daughter of William Thomas Monsell, on 31 July 1906.1 He died on 18 October 1961 at age 85.1
     He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1937.1

     Sir Robert Vere Darwin was born on 7 May 1910.1 He was the son of Bernard Richard Meirion Darwin and Elinor Mary Monsell.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Yvonne Darby, daughter of Herbert James Darby and Emily Margaret Scriven, in 1931 at Chelsea, London, England.2 He married, secondly, Ginette Hewitt, daughter of Francis W. Hewitt and Adriana Hugh-Smith, on 22 November 1962.1 He died on 30 January 1974 at age 63.3
     He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1954.1 He was invested as a Knight Bachelor in 1964.1
