Alexander Sligo Anderson Westropp1

     Alexander Sligo Anderson Westropp was born on 11 April 1872.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. George Ralph Collier Westropp and Ellen Blanche Bell.2 He married Helen Mary Shotton, daughter of Edward Shotton, on 8 December 1904.1 He died on 7 October 1957 at age 85.1
     He was educated at Dover College, Dover, Kent, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1892 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was entered in the Indian Civil Service in 1893.1 He was Collector and District Magistrate of Karachi in 1913.1 He was Collector and District Magistrate of Poona in 1917.1 He was member of the Viceroy's Legislative committee in 1917.1

     Helen Mary Shotton was the daughter of Edward Shotton.2 She married Alexander Sligo Anderson Westropp, son of Maj.-Gen. George Ralph Collier Westropp and Ellen Blanche Bell, on 8 December 1904.1 She died on 20 December 1950.1
     From 8 December 1904, her married name became Westropp.

     Edward Ralph Shotton Westropp was born on 17 October 1908.1 He was the son of Alexander Sligo Anderson Westropp and Helen Mary Shotton.2 He married Irene Adah Reily Collins, daughter of Arthur Collins, on 25 January 1941.1 He died on 6 April 1977 at age 68 at Chertsey, Surrey, England.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1930 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Hampshire Regiment.1 He was with the British Military Mission to Greece between 1946 and 1948.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to GDC Rawalpindi in 1947.1 He was officer commanding of the Chinese Training Unit in Hong Kong between 1950 and 1952.1 He was Selection Officer Brigade of Guards between 1961 and 1963.1 He lived in 1976 at Orchard House, St. Anns Hill, Chertsey, Surrey, England.1

     Aileen Dorothy Westropp was born on 18 October 1905.1 She is the daughter of Alexander Sligo Anderson Westropp and Helen Mary Shotton.2 She married Cecil Howard Everett, son of William Howard Everett, on 27 October 1934.1
     From 27 October 1934, her married name became Everett. She was awarded the Kaisar-i-Hind Silver Medal in 1943.1 She was appointed Serving Sister, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (S.S.St.J.) in 1944.1 She was awarded the Long Service Medal of St. John Ambulance Brigade with bar.1 She was awarded the Beaver Award in 1946.1
