     Lt.-Col. Dudley Jaffray Hynman Allenby, 2nd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo was born on 8 January 1903.1 He was the son of Captain Frederick Claude Hynman Allenby and Edith Mabel Jaffray.1 He married, firstly, Gertrude Mary Lethbridge Champneys, daughter of Edward Geoffrey Stanley Champneys, on 10 July 1930.1 He and Gertrude Mary Lethbridge Champneys were divorced in 1949.1 He married, secondly, Daisy Hancox, daughter of Charles Francis Hancox, on 13 April 1949.1 He died on 17 July 1984 at age 81.1,2
     Lt.-Col. Dudley Jaffray Hynman Allenby, 2nd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1923 in the service of the 11th Hussars.3 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1936.3 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo, and of Felixstowe, co. Suffolk [U.K., 1919] on 14 May 1936.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 11th Hussars.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

Dudley Jaffray Hynman Allenby, 2nd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo, son of Captain Frederick Claude Hynman Allenby and Edith Mabel Jaffray, on 10 July 1930.1 She and Lt.-Col. Dudley Jaffray Hynman Allenby, 2nd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo were divorced in 1949.1
     From 10 July 1930, her married name became Allenby.1 As a result of her marriage, Gertrude Mary Lethbridge Champneys was styled as Viscountess Allenby of Megiddo on 14 May 1936.

Dudley Jaffray Hynman Allenby, 2nd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo, son of Captain Frederick Claude Hynman Allenby and Edith Mabel Jaffray, on 13 April 1949.1 She died in 1985.2

Dudley Jaffray Hynman Allenby, 2nd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo and Gertrude Mary Lethbridge Champneys.1 He married Sara Margaret Wiggin, daughter of Lt.-Col. Peter Milner Wiggin, on 29 July 1965.1
     Michael Jaffnay Hynman Allenby, 3rd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Hussars (Prince Albert's Own), formely 11th Hussars.1 He fought in the Malayan Campaign between 1953 and 1956.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Cyprus between 1957 and 1958.1 He was Brigade-Major of the 51st Brigade, Hong Kong between 1967 and 1969.1 He was Commander of the Royal Yeomanry (Territorial Army) between 1974 and 1977.1 He was General Staff Officer and Instructor of the Nigerian Staff College, Kaduna between 1977 and 1979.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Viscount Allenby of Megiddo, and of Felixstowe, co. Suffolk [U.K., 1919] on 17 July 1984.1,2 He was Chairman of Quickrest between 1987 and 1990.1 He held the office of Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords between 1993 and 1999.1 He lived in 1999 at Newnham Lodge, Newnham, Hampshire, England.1
