     John Collingwood Brougham was born on 7 October 1897 at Mallow, County Cork, IrelandG.1,2 He was the son of Reverend Richard Henry Vaux Brougham and Beatrice Rose Burnaby.1 He died on 8 April 1960 at age 62 at Hachenburg, Westerwaldkreis, Rheinland-Pfalz, GermanyG.2
     He fought in the Second World War.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Garrison Artillery.2 He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Royal Regiment of Artillery.2
