     Commander Henry Duncan Simonds was born on 27 July 1886.1,2 He was the son of Louis de Luze Simonds and Mary Elizabeth Turnbull.1 He married Mary Zillaah Ramsden on 18 October 1927 at St. Mark, Audley Strret, Westminster, London, England.1,2 He died in 1950.1
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1

     Mary Hope Mellor is the daughter of F. H. Mellor.1 She married Gavin Turnbull Simonds, 1st and last Viscount Simonds, son of Louis de Luze Simonds and Mary Elizabeth Turnbull, on 28 March 1912.1
     From 28 March 1912, her married name became Simonds.1 After her marriage, Mary Hope Mellor was styled as Lady Simonds on 18 April 1944. After her marriage, Mary Hope Mellor was styled as Viscountess Simonds on 18 October 1954.

     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Wiltshire yeomanry.1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1945 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1

     John Mellor Simonds was born on 1 August 1915.1 He was the son of Gavin Turnbull Simonds, 1st and last Viscount Simonds and Mary Hope Mellor.1 He married Barbara Robinson, daughter of T. Robinson, on 12 August 1944.1 He died on 23 September 1944 at age 29 at Arnhem, The NetherlandsG, killed in action.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1939 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1
