     General Richard Blunt was baptised on 6 September 1770 at St. Martin in the Fields, London, England.2 He died on 25 December 1859 at age 89 at Barnfield House, Millbrook, Hampshire, England.2
     He was Colonel of the 66th Foot in 1835.3 He gained the rank of General in 1841.2
