     Evelyn Rosemary Jane Hood was born on 24 May 1910.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Wynn Hornby Hood and Miram Ethel North Smith.² She married Brigadier Brian Wolseley Webb-Carter, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir John Carter, on 11 December 1937.¹ She died on 10 September 1979 at age 69.¹

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1967.¹ He was Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion, Irish Guards between 1979 and 1981.¹ He was Commander of the British Forces Belize between 1983 and 1986.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was Director of Personnel Army between 1992 and 1995.¹ He lived in 2003 at Little Ashton Farm, Ashton Lane, Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire, England^G.¹
