     Lt.-Cdr. William Alexander Elliot was born on 10 June 1896. He was the son of Commander Charles Sinclair Elliot and Florence Louisa Dudley. He married Jean Maud Bennett Paton on 20 December 1920. He died on 28 May 1941 at age 44, killed in action at sea.
     Lt.-Cdr. William Alexander Elliot gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy. He fought in the Second World War.
