Sir Harold Walter Seymour Howard, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Harold Walter Seymour Howard, 1st Bt. was born on 8 April 1886.1 He was the son of William Albert Howard and Elizabeth Mary Seymour.2 He married Edith Maud Turner, daughter of Edward James Turner, on 10 September 1913.1 He died on 15 April 1967 at age 81.1
     Sir Harold Walter Seymour Howard, 1st Bt. usually went by his middle name of Seymour. He was with the Ministry of Aircraft Production during the Second World War.2 He held the office of Sheriff of the City of London in 1944.2 He held the office of Alderman of the City of London between 1945 and 1960.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London in 1954.2 He was awarded the Knight Commander, Military Order of Christ of Portugal.2 He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.) in 1954.1 He was appointed Knight in 1955.2 He was created 1st Baronet Howard, of Great Rissington, co. Gloucester [U.K.] on 1 December 1955.1

     Sir Hamilton Edward de Coucey Howard, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 October 1915.1 He was the son of Sir Harold Walter Seymour Howard, 1st Bt. and Edith Maud Turner.2 He married Elizabeth Howarth Ludlow, daughter of Major Percy Howarth Ludlow, on 10 July 1943.1 He died on 16 March 2001 at age 85.1
     Sir Hamilton Edward de Coucey Howard, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Edward.      David Seymour de Coucey Howard was born on 5 February 1919.1 He was the son of Sir Harold Walter Seymour Howard, 1st Bt. and Edith Maud Turner.2 He married Jean McMurdo Heywood, daughter of Thomas McMurdo Heywood, on 14 April 1942.1 He and Jean McMurdo Heywood were divorced in 1949.1 He died on 29 November 1954 at age 35.1
