     Lt.-Col. David Theodor Dobie is the son of David Walter Dobie.2 He married Aline Rosemary Hunter Blair, daughter of Lt.-Col. David Walter Hunter Blair and Barbara Norman, on 16 December 1944.1 He and Aline Rosemary Hunter Blair were divorced in 1949.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Parachute Regiment.1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1

     He fought in the First World War.1 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.1 He was decorated with the award of the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was decorated with the award of the U.S. Legion of Merit in 1945.1
