     James Milne is the son of John Milne and Elspeth Stuart of Oxhill.2 He married Violet Fraser.1
     He lived at Boyndie Milne, Banffshire, Scotland.1 On 13 January 1713 after an insult to his young wife he burnt down the Castle of Inchdrewer on Friday and killed Lord Banff.1 On 7 November 1713 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, he was acquitted of murder at his trial.

     James Milne is the son of James Milne and Violet Fraser.2,1 He married Isobel Milne, daughter of Alexander Milne and unknown wife (?).1
     He had a woman whipped round Banff at the tail of a cart.1 He held the office of Procurator Fiscal.1 He held the office of Burgess of Banff.1 He lived at Boyndie Milne, Banffshire, Scotland.1 In 1745 Cumberland hanged a man from the gable of his house.1 He was publicly thanked for supplying corn during a famine and presented a bell to Old Boyndie Church.1

     He was Chaplain of Keith's Highlanders.1 He was the Minister at Sandwich, Kent, England.1 He fought in the Seven Years War.1 He was given the name of James Milne at birth.1

     Brig.-Gen. Colin James Mylne was the son of Reverend James Mylne and Amelia (?).2 He died in 1853.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1812.1 He gained the rank of Acting Brigadier-General in the when he conquered Kutch in India.1
