     Edward George Hoyer Millar was born on 9 May 1900.¹ He was the son of Robert Christian Hoyer Millar and Muriel Rosa Lillian Foster.² He married Phyllis Edith Amy Wace, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Edward Gurth Wace, on 14 July 1925.¹ He died on 24 December 1949 at age 49.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Black Watch.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Edward Gurth Wace was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the service of the Royal Engineers.¹

     Phyllis Edith Amy Wace was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Edward Gurth Wace.² She married Edward George Hoyer Millar, son of Robert Christian Hoyer Millar and Muriel Rosa Lillian Foster, on 14 July 1925.¹ She died in 1957.¹

     Gurth Christian Millar was born on 13 December 1928.¹ He is the son of Edward George Hoyer Millar and Phyllis Edith Amy Wace.² He married Jane Taylor Aldington, daughter of Colonel Harold John Aldington, on 17 March 1956.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.¹ He was with Scottish Rugger XV in 1952.¹ He graduated from Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1952 with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.).¹ He graduated from Michigan University, Ann Arbor, Michigan, U.S.A., with a Master of Law (LL.M.).³ He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1956 entitled to practice as a barrister.¹ He was non-executive Director of Hudson Bay Company, Canada between 1976 and 2000.¹ He was chairman of Bonhams between 1988 and 1996.³ He lived in 2003 at 27 Trevor Place, London, England.¹

     Colonel Harold John Aldington lived at Swan Wood, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England.¹

     Jane Taylor Aldington is the daughter of Colonel Harold John Aldington.² She married Gurth Christian Millar, son of Edward George Hoyer Millar and Phyllis Edith Amy Wace, on 17 March 1956.¹
      From 17 March 1956, her married name became Millar.

     Christian Gurth Millar was born on 7 January 1959.¹ He is the son of Gurth Christian Millar and Jane Taylor Aldington.² He married Philippa Margaret Smyth-Tyrrell on 20 October 1984.¹
