     Robert Fergus Jenks was born on 12 July 1909.1 He was the son of Sir Maurice Jenks, 1st Bt. and Martha Louise Christabel Smith.2 He married, firstly, Joyce Wynne Booth, daughter of Albert Edward Booth and Florence Louise Scruby, on 4 February 1933.1 He and Joyce Wynne Booth were divorced in 1938.1 He married, secondly, Molly Estelle Griffiths, daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Albert Edward Griffiths, on 29 November 1939.1 He died on 25 February 1982 at age 72 at Romsey, Hampshire, England.1,3
     He was awarded the Croix de Guerre with palm.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1943.1
