     Colonel Edward Lake was born on 5 February 1844.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir Henry Atwell Lake and Anne Curtois.2 He married Edith Dale Nichol, daughter of P. Dale Nichol, in 1885.1 He died on 4 December 1910 at age 66, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1

     Brig.-Gen. Noel Montagu Lake was born on 10 September 1852.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir Henry Atwell Lake and Anne Augusta Curtis.2 He married Virginia Jane Parnis, daughter of William Parnis, on 1 October 1890.1 He died on 24 December 1932 at age 80.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel and Honorary Brigadier-General in the Royal Engineers.1 He was Temporary Brigadier-General of the Administration Northern Command between 1914 and 1916.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1917.1
