Colonel Cecil Alexander Boyle was born on 28 March 1888.2 He was the son of Colonel Patrick David Boyle and Kathleen Digby Blagrave.2 He married Gladys Mary Benn, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Arthur Edward Benn, on 27 June 1923.2 He died on 1 July 1941 at age 53.2
