     Reverend Philip Carlyon was born on 15 May 1769.1 He was the son of Reverend John Carlyon and Mary Winstanley.1 He married Mary Phear on 27 October 1808 at Brattan, Clovelley, Devon, England.1 He died on 21 March 1846 at age 76.1 He was buried on 26 March 1846 at Mawgan, Pydar, Cornwall, England.1
     He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was the Rector at St. Mawgan, Pydar, Cornwall, England.1
