     George Wyldbore Hewitt was born on 16 November 1858.1 He was the son of James Hewitt, 4th Viscount Lifford and Lydia Lucy Wingfield Digby.2 He married Elizabeth Mary Rampini, daughter of Charles Rampini, on 24 January 1891.1 He died on 23 April 1924 at age 65.1
     He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) Hampshire.1

     He was educated Winchester and RMC Sandhurst.1 He was Lieutenant Hampshire Regiment.1 He was also known as 8th Viscount Lifford.3
