Beathag Maclean is the daughter of Sir Lachlan 'Mor' Maclean, 10th of Duart and Morven and Lady Margaret Cunningham.2 She married Hector Maclaine, 9th of Lochbuie, son of Hector Maclean, 8th of Lochbuie and Margaret Campbell.1

Murdoch Maclaine, 10th of Lochbuie was the son of Hector Maclaine, 9th of Lochbuie and Beathag Maclean.2 He married Julia Campbell, daughter of Sir Robert Campbell of Glenorchy, 3rd Bt., before 1635.1 He died circa 1662, without issue , when he was succeeded by his bro:.1
Styled Murchadh Mor.1 In July 1625 recd the lands of Lochbuie from his father and served heir 23 Feb 1630, joined royalist army of the Marquess of Montrose June 1645 and fought at Kilsyth.1 In September 1645 plundered the Campbell lands in Knapdale and Cowal –April 1646.1 In 1649 deprived of his lands for adhering to the royalists , but had them returned to him after the Restoration 1661.1

Lachlan Maclaine, 11th of Lochbuie was born in 1614.1 He was the son of Hector Maclaine, 9th of Lochbuie and Beathag Maclean.2 He married Margaret Maclean, daughter of Hector Maclean, 2nd of Torloisk.1 He died in 1701, (buried in the family mausoleum at Laggan, Lochbuie).1
Mull 1651 tacksman of Callachally in.1 Styled Lachlainn Mor.1 On 12 April 1663 served heir to his brother.1 In 1675 supported the Macleans of Duart against the Earl of Argyll.1
