     Archibald Macnab is the son of John Macnab and Anne Robertson.²
     In 1714 on coming of age he had to surrender the feu of Mullion to liquidate debts of over £3,000 Scots owed by his father and grandfather to Sir Thomas Stewart of Grantully.¹

     Katherine Macnab is the daughter of Archibald Macnab.² She married, firstly, John Stewart of Benmore.¹ She married, secondly, Archibald Macnab of Newton in 1771.¹
     Her married name became Stewart.
