Sir Alan Armstrong Huggins1

     Sir Alan Armstrong Huggins was born on 15 May 1921.2 He was the son of William Armstrong Huggins and Dare Copping.2 He married, firstly, Catherine Davidson Dick, daughter of David Dick, in 1950.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Low Dodd, daughter of Dr. Christopher William Lumley Dodd, in 1985.2 He and Catherine Davidson Dick were divorced in 1985.2 He died on 10 December 2009 at age 88.3
     He was educated at Radley College, Radley, Oxfordshire, England.2 He graduated from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1947 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He held the office of Resident Magistrate of Uganda between 1951 and 1953.2 He held the office of Stipendiary Magistrate [Hong Kong] between 1953 and 1958.2 He held the office of District Judge [Hong Kong] between 1958 and 1965.2 He held the office of Chairman of Justice [Hong Kong] between 1965 and 1968.2 He held the office of Judicial Commissioner [Brunei] between 1966 and 2001.2 He held the office of Justice of the Court of Appeal [Hong Kong] between 1976 and 1980.2 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1980.3 He held the office of Vice-President of the Court of Appeal [Hong Kong] between 1980 and 1997.2 He held the office of Justice of Appeal [Falkland Islands] between 1988 and 1991.2 He held the office of President of the Court of Appeal [Falkland Islands] between 1991 and 2002.2 He held the office of Member of the Court of Final Appeal, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China between 1997 and 2003.2 He held the office of President of the Court of Appeal [British Antartic Territory] between 2000 and 2002.2 He held the office of President of the Court of Appeal [Brunei] between 2001 and 2002.2

Edward Huggins1

     Edward Huggins was born on 14 October 1808.1 He was the son of John Huggins and Hannah Pickton.2 He married, firstly, Mary Eales circa 1832.1 He married, secondly, Ellen Meacock, daughter of John Meacock, on 22 July 1847.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Middlesex.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 12 June 1852.1 He was a brewer.2
