     Mary Marjoribanks was born on 5 February 1845 at Lochmabel, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Marjoribanks and Mary Cook.3 She married, firstly, Alexander Leslie, son of James Leslie, on 29 July 1869.1 She married, secondly, Robert M. Ferguson on 10 April 1896. She died on 28 September 1912 at age 67.1
     From 29 July 1869, her married name became Leslie. From 10 April 1896, her married name became Ferguson.

     Alexander Leslie was born in 1844 at Dundee, Forfar, Scotland.2 He was the son of James Leslie.2 He married Mary Marjoribanks, daughter of Thomas Marjoribanks and Mary Cook, on 29 July 1869.1 He died on 7 December 1893.
     He was registered as a Chartered Engineer (C.E.)1

     Reverend George Marjoribanks of that Ilk was born on 19 May 1908.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Marjoribanks of that Ilk and Mary Ord Logan.2 He married Elizabeth Morris in 1953.1 He died on 12 January 1955 at age 46.1

     William Logan Marjoribanks of that Ilk was born on 26 February 1910.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Marjoribanks of that Ilk and Mary Ord Logan.2 He married Thelma Williamson on 19 April 1938.1 He died in 1999.1
     He was educated at Merchiston Castle School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1931 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He was Assistant Conservator of Forests, Sudan Government at Khartoum, Sudan.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 15 February 1965.1

     Sir James Alexander Milne Marjoribanks was born on 29 May 1911.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Marjoribanks of that Ilk and Mary Ord Logan.2 He married Sonya Patricia Stanley-Alder, daughter of David Stanley-Alder, on 29 December 1936.1 He died on 29 January 2002 at age 90.1
     He was educated at Merchiston Castle School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1932 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was educated at University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France.1 He was with the Foreign Service between 1934 and 1971.1 He was Deputy to the Secretary of State Foreign Affairs in Austrian Treaty Negotiations between 1947 and 1949.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1954.1 He held the office of Assistant Under-Secretary, Foreign and Commonwealth Offfice between 1962 and 1965.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1965.1 He held the office of Ambassador to EEC between 1965 and 1971.1

     From 29 December 1936, her married name became Marjoribanks.
